Although The Fox Brothers have been performing together since their pre-teen years, this band of brothers continues to be a force in the music industry through concerts, radio, and television. They continue to gain numerous awards and maintain a solid reputation for excellence among fans and music critics alike. "We love to perform", Roy said. "We get to meet a lot of great people who love music and life. When we get to entertain them, that's when we are at our happiest."
Roy is known as the "runt of the litter" and is also recognized as the group's "gravity-challenged, undernourished" tenor. As an award-winning comedian, Roy evokes tons of laughter from The Fox Brothers audiences with his always glib, sometimes excited, occasionally befuddled character whose two favorite subjects are food and politics. He bounces his unconventional, off-the-wall humor off his quick-witted straight man brother, Lynn Fox.
Roy was presented the "Comedian Of The Year" award by the Country Gospel Music Guild in 1999; The "Comedy Act Of The Year" from the Christian Country Music Association in 2002 and 2003; and the award for "Comedian Of The Year" from USAGEM (United States Association Of Gospel Entertainers & Musicians) in 2009 and 2010.
Roy is also a very accomplished harmonica player and trumpet player. He often wows the audiences with his very proficient musicianship. Roy has received several nominations for awards recognizing his skills by organizations such as the Christian Country Music Association and in the USAGEM Awards.
In addition to his music career, Roy is very involved in local events in the Nashville area such as the annual Williamson County Fair. He is also very involved in neighborhood interaction and area community affairs. Roy currently serves as a member of the Board Of Directors of the Williamson County Fair and is a member of the Board Of Commissioners for the H.B. & T.S. Water Utilities.
Roy is a graduate of Belmont University where he attained a B.B.A. (Bachelor Of Business Administration) degree in Music Business. He is married to Linda Fox. They have one son, Dale. Roy and his family live on their farm in southwest Williamson County and located in Bending Chestnut, Tennessee, near his brothers Randy and Lynn.
